    Groups or Clubs in ABQ?

I've decided to start a new mountain bike club/group so promote social rides and trail work/advocacy.

Here is the info below. I really want this thing to take off and get awesome production out of it!

You found the one weakness about mtb'ing in ABQ - no fun/formal-ish organized mtb clubs.

There are roadie clubs, xc racing groups, advocacy organizations, but there isn't just a fun social club of mountain bikers.

But, I've found the non-organized Bandoleros a friendly group for rides and beer drinkin'.

there's ones on face book... the best way is just to approach a group you cross paths with and ask em when they ride... what type of riding you do??

I try to do everything. Haven't really gotten into the freeride/dh stuff. I guess I'd say "all mountain".

I just upgraded to a Yeti 575 full suspension from a HT Rockhopper 29er. But I've ridden all the foothills, pretty much most of otero/cedro and white mesa. I'm a decent climber and like to push myself. Really gnarly downhill stuff still makes me a bit skittish but like I said I try to push myself to do stuff outside my comfort zone. That's a little easier when you're riding with others instead of by yourself.

Thanks Nate! Yea I actually rode with a few people last year from that group. I just emailed the current organizer to see if I can take the reins and make it an active group again !

Met up with a dude rockin' a O'leary single speed named Chris, on the way up to Pino Trailhead. We rode the loop back down to to the Spain car park.

Nice to have someone to keep me motivated and moving.

    Thx Buddy.
