That thing looks small in the pics. You would not think that is a 17 to 20 foot drop. Prob the way you have to shoot out away from the cliff throws you off. You land 20 to 25 feet out.

Got a text from a Bando and said I should check this out. Sweet, looking good homies. Since all the drama in sedona, I need to make a visit soon.

Is this doable on a hard tail? I am just getting into riding features, drops, and more tech trail... I was just wondering if a hard tail 29er with 100mm fork could handle something like this? I have been watching all of the Bandos vids and checking out pics. You all are really amazing riders. Would love to join you on a ride one day and watch, it seems like someone could learn alot from riding with the Bandos crew.

def not something you want to find out on. I have a 100mm 29er hard tail and there is no way I'd hit it on that thing. someone else might have no problem.

almost all 29er hard tails are built up for XC riding.

what drops are you hitting now?

Some of the drops in foothills, Placitas down hill... mainly just 2' - 4' drops pretty tame, a lot of times I am able to roll them but sometimes I jump them. I do not know names of them but I usually find something to drop off of during our rides. I have yet to do anything this big.

    Gratuitous fun SFH 1_5_13

both the drops in this thread are 29er hard tail friendly.

Sad... I still have my 1998 Yeti ARC and I love it, actually it is my only geared bike at the moment.
