    De La Pena's Rides 2014 (re-titled)

**Go to the last page for newest rides**

The Gorge. One of my favorite rides. I hope you all are enjoying the great riding. Get it while you can...., closures are imminent and its a long drive to Colorado.

Don't remember the name. Not sure if it had one. There are trails all over the Gorge but most are not marked so you just gotta explore and be patient. Lots of dead ends, but if you keep going a little further some will pick back up again. There is everything from easy beginner trails on the west and east rims (which are marked well, mapped) to the "There's No Way" trails that run inside the gorge. It's gnarly.

I should add, other than the rim or the service road these are not trails your gonna ride miles on. The trails in the gorge are more of a playground to test your skills.

Gotcha. There were some picts from Horsethief mesa and it looked similar. That looks to be a pretty **** marked trail and not too difficult for the GF. Something to do on the way to Angelfire or if the weather gets bad.

Nice, I have always visualized riding back in there. I know there are quite few horseback trails coming from the Cerrillos Hills direction, but I think you'd need permission to make a day of it. Otherwise, it the riding is a real chore.

Today's ride. I am slowly getting better with the POV video from the Samsung S5. This is in HD so if the video stalls change the resolution from 720 to 360 or lower.
