    Foothills Condition

This is my first winter here so I'm sorry if this seems like a stupid question.

I live on the Westside. I see the snow on the mountains but are the foothills ok to ride ride now or do I need to wait a day or two for them to dry out / snow to melt?

I got a Contour ROAM for xmas and I'm itching to play with it lol.

Again sorry if this is a dumb question. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Its very hard for the foothills to be unrideable.. go out and have fun.

When you encounter mud/water make sure you go through the mud/water and not around it. This will help keep the trail from getting any wider.

Pretty much all the snow in the S Foothills is melted off. Might be a few patches on north facing slopes but not much.

Trails are good to go in the South. Make sure to bring some layers, that wind has some bite!

10:30 PM - Just left a soirée off Paso del Norte & Tramway and it's snowing pretty good. The roads are starting to get covered. I bet the N Foothills will be covered by morning. Once I got to Comanche it stopped and the roads were totally clear. Looked like there was a light dusting in the S Foothills but no where near as much as the NFH.

I rode it yesterday (1/4), there's still quite a bit of snow on the trail but I had a great time....
