The Surly one on my track bike was about $75 if I recall - and is nice. Sealed bearings, well made, solid. I know at Harris Cyclery you can likely find a cheapie one, but watch out for stripping the axle and hub threads.

I have had really good luck with Philwood hubs and have yet to find a better longer lasting hub. Think I might have one in parts box...?

If your considering a full up wheel then I would lean towards some of the cane creek options.

From what I can gather, the OP is looking for something economical.

BTW...That part from SRAM should be here Monday and I talked them into a new 3spd shifter pod, which is on back order. So be expecting that as well. SRAM has the best CS ever!

    Good news with SRAM.

As for the hub I think that PW is rather economical given that they last forever with out needing any work and that I have a spare in the parts box...

    Some real low $ options.

I have no experience with these so use at your own risk.
