    Faulty Trail conditions

8 inches of snow and 6 F on Faulty yesterday. Maybe I should have sprung for the Fatty at Bikeworks...

Almost 2 inches of rain on Faulty. Mud bog right now but should be drying out in the next couple of weeks. Maybe closures are delayed for a while.

We probably need at least 10 more storms of equal or greater precip, before May, to hold off closures at this point.

    +1

I'm not an optimist or a pessimist, I'm a realist.

I'm the pessimist. Judging from conditions in the Sandias, I was thinking of potential April closures. But I keep hearing rumors of a wet April...

I was out riding otero yesterday and got pissed on at the end of the ride. came down pretty hard and soaked the whole trail system for an hour at leas.... so ill stand by my prediction of fire closers followed by flood closers

I rode "some things" on Sandia that are well above Faulty's elevation yesterday, and they were pretty dry. Faulty's entrance and parking have no snow, but I did not venture on to the trail itself, sorry.

I hiked faulty from sulphur canyon to the oso/bill springs intersection. That was all pretty dry. Saw a biker coming down covered in mud who said tree spings/oso is still pretty muddy. For what its worth.

Last week dried things out pretty well. Have not been between Cienega and Canoncito.

Thanks guys. It's looking like I probably won't get out there til next week anyway. Sounds like it should be good by then if it's not already.
