Enchanted Forest XC Area near Red River?

I decided to try a race for fun this year, so i signed up for the "Top of the World" race on August 31st in Red River. This will be my first ever, so i entered in Cat3...just expecting to have fun.

The race is in the Enchanted Forest XC skiing area. I've never been to this area so i was curious if anyone had any feedback on it. Is it single-track, double-track, rocky, technical, smooth?? Lots of climbing, flat? I googled around but it doesn't seem to be a very popular/well known area. It would be nice to have an idea of what i'm getting into!

I have an XC hardtail or a sorta AM FS bike to choose from, i'm guessing the XC hardtail is probably going to be fine.

bump- I'm also visiting Red River in a few weeks. We have all the classic big epic rides planned, but would also like some trail info on shorter rides we could do out of the house. Are there any fun town trails? or something around/off the RR ski Hill? ...and Enchanted Forest, is that worth it? Come on guys, any info will help this East Coaster out.
Been there, done that... don't remember it.
