DJ and Freeride dirtwork opportunities at La Tierra

This Saturday and the following (and generally every Saturday) there will be a big push to repair/rebuild and create new features in the central Dirt Jump area ( aka SF Trails) in response to the city work of putting in water tanks. Come at 11 and into the afternoon to lend a hand and to learn about sculpting dirt. Bring a shovel. Ask for Daniel.

He hopes to be done and that the city will be done by the end of March. Much of it is ridable now from my quick look.

Rich is hoping to start repair work from the trenching by the end of the month for the Freeride area (aka Trash Pits).

This is a different area than Trash Pit? Some of those jumps in the photo look pretty serious.... Thinking of heading up, you going?

Jerry, you should come up to check it all out. There is a middle table line, so not all gaps. I'll be there in the morning and leaving around 1 to go to ABQ for my daughter's BBall game, then to ABQNVBP at 4ish to do some work at their work session (9-5).

Bring your rain gear and some warm stuff, iffy weather here and ABQ. I can meet you there around 10 if you want to fart around before the dirtwork starts. There are some fun ladder drops, which I have only tried on my big bike, so i might bring both my bikes. I'll post here about what kind of weather we got, chance for snow, but if it isn't heavy should be OK.

Things are shaping up at the DJ area. The ABQNVBP had quite a bit of work done and things were sweet. Some nice new changes. Can't wait to work my way up to bigger stuff. The new Airborne Wingman (still on sale for $499 complete, the guys at the park couldn't believe it) was great on the pump track.

I'm going over to the Alto Park Pump Track in SF right now to do some maintenance if anyone wants to join in.
