    David Canyon-Sandia RD Closures

Starting today many trails in the David Canyon/Mars Court area will be closed for active timber work. Crews will be felling trees and brush along many trails and roads.

The following trails/roads will be closed:

Turkey Trot #05612 (east of David Canyon Road)
    Cajun Pine #05049
    FS Road 335
    West Boundary #05642
    More Turkey #05643
    Drop In #05238

Trails will be reopened as crews finish work.

    Thanks,

    K Wood

I realize this is hard, but do you have an approximate for the work duration (1 month, 2 months, etc.)?

    Cajun Pine and Drop In?

That makes getting to the new Three Bottles tough i would imagine. Can anyone suggest an alternate route and/or is riding 3Bs any fun North to South from 106?

3-B is not bad in the opposite direction except that will put you out at Cajun Pine.Turn around and ride it the fun way .
Kerry, how will this effect the build days on the on the 17th and 18th?

Quick update - Turkey Trot will not be closed.

We'll be fine on the build days.

In terms of time frame we're hoping no more than a few weeks.

Another update on the closures...roads will remain open (including those I previously listed as closed). Apologies for the confusion.

Kerry, I was at Mars Ct today and noticed that all the trail closure signs were gone. There was a FS Law Enforcement at the PL. He said he just got here to this district and had no clue. So are these trails back open? Didn't hear any chainsaw crews working.
