2003 Specialized Enduro Stolen from Socorro

My son's 2003 S-Works Specialized Enduro was stolen from just outside his student apartment at New Mexico Tech in Socorro a couple of nights ago. Someone cut the chain. Ben has filed a police report and I'll start watching Craig's List but please let me know if anyone sees it around. This is the link for the original bike, BikePedia - 2003 Specialized S-Works Enduro Complete Bicycle, but it has a Fox Vanilla fork, different wheel set, a Swinger shock, and Wellgo C135 platform pedals.

Here's an old picture of it before the shock was swapped:

    Maybe this could help: https://racklove.com/stolen-bike-finder/

Bike thieves suck. They should be pounded on with blunt objects until they are jagged heaps of meat. That's all I'm going to say about that.

    Oh, and one other thing....

As someone who has recovered numerous stolen items, there is a better than 75 percent chance that the victim knows or at the very least has met the thief face to face, even if the encounter was brief. Sad, but true.

    all thieves suck

I bet the bike is still in town which hopefully makes it easier to recover.

    Good luck

Thanks Jim! That's a killer site. I didn't find Ben's bike but it makes the searching a lot easier than going to all the individual sites. That would be a good site to use to find a used bike to buy too.

I should find out today if our home owners insurance will cover a bike at college.
