12 Hour Gravity / Endurance event!?!?!!!

    You all see this:

    http://www.angelfireburner.com/

I know Keith Darner and the Bigfoor boys put on fantastic events - so despite the fact this sounds NUTS to me - I'm sure it'll rock. Not sure I understand the 3 different 'courses', as it sounds like you ride the lift up, then descend one of three runs. If it's riders choice - wouldn't a XC wanker like me benefit from picking the 'easy' one and hammering as many laps as possible? Not that any of Angel Fires DH runs are 'easy' - especially in the dark, but I am curious about how they figure that piece of the puzzle.

None the less - always cool to see new events in the area!

That is a really long lift though. Should be about 30 min. between runs.

Still crazy, but at least you get a nice rest.

If you're takin 30 min between runs, something's wrong with you. The lift was running us up in 17 min at the Challenge, with it taking about 2-4 min to the top of the DH, so, maybe 20 min between runs, and if you're not having to wait on your bike to get to you, maybe less. Should be fun.

    We have some winners!!!

Tony Gradillas (Bikeworks) and Scott Spangler took top honors in the Team Catagory (29 Laps). Not sure who they were teamed with, but way to go guys!!!

    Close Racing

Man... and I don't know if anyone snapped to this, but the Top Three Pros were within 1 min of each other on the 30th and final lap. That's after 12Hrs of bombing. Man, that must have been quite the finish. At least I would hope they knew they were all that close.

    Too Cool!!!

Nice, I knew that Boice had mad DH/FR skills, but I did not know he had legs too!! Super D is the new "old skool" DH.
