Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! [Shout-Out] to "DaGoat"

So, Doug is up for re-election as the President of FooMtb. Over the past year, I've seen Doug take on some major undertakings. It's not just one or two projects, either. This dude has a multitude of projects, events, and correspondence going at any given tome. Nothing is safe from the DaGoat! With the help of a few others, you know who you are, he managed to organize clearing efforts in Chama, Nm, build the South Knob Swithcback , which was quite a feat, and developing the Golden trails to name few.

During the meeting last night, Doug hinted that he's a little frustrated. See, he's tried very hard to gain more participation from our local community and unfortunately there aren't many people that are willing to give a few hours of ONE day to give a little back to a sport that has given so many people so much. I know that everyone works, has kids, and to try to even squeeze a ride in is hard enough. But c'mon peeps, all he asks is that everyone give at least two days a year to an "organized" trail day. Think of what we could accomplish

Anyway, I for one hope that Doug does not decide to step down. The work he has done over the last year will be enjoyed by all of us for years to come.

Cheers, Doug. Keep up the good work! Allow your cause be a spiritual one rather than an earthly one and there will be no room for disappointment.

I am always IN for some trail work a few times a year.

Always good to give back to the sport that is so much a part of our lives.

    Thanks, Nate!

Have you considered joining? $10 isn't very much and I believe there is an X-mas party in the works!

    Done

I used to be a member, but I believe it fell away over the last years.

I'm gonna suck at being able to do trail maintenence days since I work weekends, but...

How about I feed people at a discount that are working?

Better yet, how about a gift certificate for new members?

Jay, that is an excellent idea. You have a terrific menu for after work/ride days (thanks for the wings and beers yesterday). I'm even inclined to make the drive once in a while with my honey to feast on the weekends if we can ever get away, as the menu and atmosphere also caters to "fine dining". Great job with the place and I noticed that you are also very supportive of a few other venues as well, again, well done

It certainly doesn't hurt that your business is not so far from a few GREAT trail heads .

Thanks Calhoun! I'll be at the Gutierrez Canyon trail build If you would like to show up, I'll bring those bars you were asking about and you can sign up then.

Matter of fact why don't we all make an effort to show DaGoat how much we appreciate his hard work and attend this groundbreaking session!
