    Wharton- How Much Snow?

I'd like to ride there this weekend, but haven't been able to find out exactly how much snow the last storm dumped. If anyone could offer up some information on the current conditions, I'd appreciate it. I'm thinking it may not even be worth considering without a fat bike.

Another 4" fell last night. On top of what was left from the last weeks snowfall.

Just had the fat bike out next door (Brendan T Byrne). Good ride, but a lot of work.

The Wharton trails are liable to be a sloppy mess this weekend, 2/1/14-2/2/14.

Forecasted warm temps, that will be melting a couple inches of snow, that will not be able to drain though the still frozen ground, makes a slushy muddy sandy slurry.

Please stay off the WSF Batsto MTB trail this weekend and keep it in good shape. Thanks!

Anybody been out there? I've never been, but if I don't get out on my bike soon I'm going to lose it. Seems like this may be the only place in the tri-state area that is rideable.

Thinking the same thing…used to ride dirt bikes in the Pine Barrons. I am going nuts...

Anyone local to those trails have a recent update on them?

I'm with the two above me... I'm gonna start punching kittens if I don't get out on my bike soon.

I've never ridden there at all. I'm in Lancaster, PA and nothing around us is passable. I'm all ears for suggestions.

Most rides start from Batsto village.

Wharton State Forest's Batsto Bicycle Trails are still a slushy muddy mess this weekend of 3/9/14.

most of us are in the habit of posting Batsto winter conditions on mtbnj.com

Now I get it, you guys are talking south jersey, not Wharton in Morris county.
