    Stokes State Forest

Has anybody done any MTB riding here? It looks like fire-roads with a scattering of single-track. Good map found on NJ DEP website. Any intelligence on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

^ So, not even enough singletrack mixed in to make it worthwhile, huh?

I've ridden Blue Mountain many times. I'm really just looking to diversify. Stokes used to be listed on JORBA and I thought I recalled that Black Bear Cycles was "an ambassador". These guys are also pretty involved at Wawayanda and there is a ton of singletrack there. On the current JORBA site Stokes isn't even listed any more on the Trail directory.

    Anybody else?

I ride Stokes once or twice a week. Not the greatest, but it's on the way home from work. I think Blue Mountain and Tinsley are the best trails, but Lackner, Coursen, and Swenson are all worth riding and are rocky singletrack for the most part.

jerseyjoey, if you have any addt'l info I wouldn't mind a PM as well

    I don't.
Sounds like you know the park better than I do.
So much land, so little single track.
