Looking for beginner routes in New Jersey

    Hi,
I'm new to New Jersey and looking for beginner trails to use to introduce three friends to some mountain biking... They are all fit, but beginner level riders..

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Based in North Bergen but have car/rack and willing to travel

    Thanks again
    Simon

Check MTBNJ.com for a map of trail locations.

That said, I usually take my beginner friends to the Tourne in Boonton.
And welcome to the forum, a bunch of us also post on mtbnj.com. That site is a bit more active.

Welcome to NJ. Just in time -- come on out to the JORBA Bike Fest on September 13th. Here are the detail at this link: www.bikefest.jorba.org

We are going to have beginner, intermediate and advanced rides in Allamuchy State Park, Stephens State Park and Deer Park. All that plus you can talk with JORBA (Jersey Off Road Bicycle Association) folks for rides in your area. Jeff Lenosky's is going to be there, too!

Oh, and best of all, the event is FREE.
