They are pretty rocky but ridable not for beginers. Alot of good climbing and downhill. HT works, FS works better. The trails are marked and map is available @ http://www.waynetownship.com/maps/mountainpark.pdf and is posted at the trailhead parking lot at WPU. Have Fun!

this is a good loop start at wpu kiosk

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/78461007

this pic is from last year, have a pic from sunday at the summit w/myu epic, but its up on facebook and i can't link it fom here at work.

the blue trail can get you towards canonball w/ some tarmac but blue is often muddy, probably be good in a couple of weeks

here's the pic from last sunday at hi mtn summit

was up at market basket today doing tri course on the road bike. i ussually do the run course and a small piece of trail in and out of hi mtn (enter at the reservoir circle as you did, but i stay to the right up the hill and out onto sciotto, near the beginining of the run course. troday wanted to enter on sciotto and do some recon over on the blue trails, which generally tend to stay muddy longer then, red, white or yellow trails.

crappy weather, no run today. taking mtb out on sunday. i like hi mtn cause i can get an hour mtb in and there and back nice and quick

The entrance to the red from reservoir is really rocky because it isn't the original trail, that is now some ones backyard. It does get better once you get on the beaten track about 200 yards in, but it is still rocky, some spots more than others. Line choice is key. It's all ridable. Me and my buddy run into a rider on a no suspension bike riding the red from WPU to reservior and back. We usually ride from my buddies in Wayne up to WPU and do a loop red to yellow to red back to WPU and home. about 11 miloes and 1,100' asssent / dessent. There are alot of great loops through there. One of my favorite trails is the white either from the red down to the yellow is a excellent downhill or the opposite is a killer climb back to the red. It is an awesome place. Enjoy!

the bottom of the hill in reservoir, goes through yards, but the top of reservoir at the circle had a trail head wood sign a few years ago (around 3). i think it is actually yellow trail there as it exits on part of the circle and enters again about a dozen yards up. white trail is pretty good too, if you coming from wayne you probably did some of the blue trail

Has anyone been riding here? Any attitude from the hikers? Kind of seems like they want this place to be for hikers only. Seems like a selfish elitist attitude to me. I sure wish everyone could learn to share.

We always slowdown and are friendly to the hikers and they are usually friendly as well but ocaisionally they just scowl. I don't care if they walk on our MTB trails. Oh well. Hope to see more MTBs there. It really is a great place to ride.

We ride from my friends house in Wayne and go in at the parking lot on College Rd. we'll usually get there around 4:30, maybe Friday also. Probably won't get to ride there this weekend, to much other stuff going on. Send me a pm if you want to join us.
