    D-Day at Ceres Park

yesterday, a prison gang and a road crew were out in force at Ceres Park in Mantua with a mission to remove all man-made obstacles. They got about half-way done before getting 2 bobcats stuck, which needed to be retrieved by a bulldozer, all of which caused considerable environmental damage. They've vowed to return to finish the job; you can read the details and see pictures here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1886...1648037996259/

    What the F*^k!!!!???

That video of the baffoon blazing in on the bulldozer is infuriating. Unf*^ckingbelievable.

I am was not entirely able to glean just why it is that the county is doing this? I'm going to try to look at the page some more and see. I don't think I'm going to find anything other than county ridiculousness however. Absurd.

I just read something about no man made structures on county land.

You know what? Ok, whatever, they don't want the structures on county land. Fine. Does that mean that you drive in like some sort of inbred cowboys and absolutely wreck the place in order to remove the said structures?

I rode there a handful of times with my wife and son on his little pushbike. Never came across a sketchy structure.

This is arbitrary and power abusive.

I'd suggest alerting your local news to cover the story. I can't imagine the mayor would fair well if the general public hears that their tax dollars are going to destroying the parks with bulldozers operated by prison gangs. In fact, here's a perfect headline:

    "Convicts bulldoze local park"

I know I'd stop and read that story.

    Facebook is not the answer.

A complete waste of tax payers money and resources. I gotta believe there was a better solution, one that was a little more environmentally friendly. Like maybe working with the bike club to improve the structures before sending in heavy machinery. The amount of damage they caused is unacceptable.

And, I agree, there is a news story here.
