    Best Ringwood route

Hello, I am new to the area and i went to Ringwood for the first time, Great place but I followed the race track the entire time. I noticed that there was alot of double track and I was wondering if there was a route that would hit more of the singletrack . I dont have a GPS and the map I got at the park was very poor. Thanks for anybodys help.

Do a quick google search for Ramapo Valley Cycling JORBA. You'lll get the JORBA links page, there's plenty of info there.

This one looks good. I have never ridden the trail that crosses the entrance road. What is it like? I imagine its a big climb back up to Shepard's lake.

It is good. There is a big climb, a nice view and a crazy descent. After that there is some nice rolling stuff. (That is going clockwise on that loop.)

Ringwood just happens to be one of those parks that is nearly impossible to navigate on your own. Even the newest map from rvcc still gets me lost, and that is a decent map. The place is huge and there are just so many trails. I can navigate Allamuchy pretty well, but i get lost in Ringwood whenever i journey from the race trail.

I dislike when someone asks for a route only to get responses about meeting up and using a guide, but in my opinion that really is the only way to get around Ringwood.

However a route around Ramapo would be much easier to explain.

Actually, i have found new routes in Ringwood, Jungle Habitat, Mahlon Dickinson by downloading tracks from other users on Motion Based from Garmin. It is a great way to get around and learn new trails.

The original post stated that he didn't have a GPS.

I've looked into GPS's but i don't find them very user friendly with the whole downloading/uploading maps, etc. And i'm relatively tech savvy. They really need to start making those things easier to use. I think if you pay $400 for techy gadget that the thing should come with software that makes the devise as easy to navigate as using internet explorer.
