    anyone in budd lake NJ?

am looking into cycling the allamuchy trail anyone rode this route? , as i have a entry level bike, looking to ride easy sections that are flat mainly level not to brutal for me or my machine.

any advice where to ride and where to stay away from?

also anyone lives near us maybe into relaxed leisure riding outings let me know maybe
    plan somthing.

want to stay off route 46 to get onto the trail as well about 6 miles i think to the centre of the park from my house.

    thx guys.

    Cool... Plenty of local parks...

Trail Directory | JORBA - You Dig?

Great maps for Allamuchy, Stephens and Deer Park.

I'd check out the Sussex Branch Trail at the end of Continental drive and Kittatinny State Park (the Sussex branch tr goes right through it), it has some mellower stuff right off the rail trail.

Get out and explore, even if you end up hiking your bike it's good exercise. The bulk of riding is a little more advance on the area.

Columbia trail and the Paulinskill trail are nice rails to trails as well.

    Diveplane.

Check out the trail directory here for gps links of the local NJ parks.

In general, deer park will be less challenging that allamuchy north.

Nothing to worry about with bears. Yes they are there, possible that you might see one, highly doubtfull one will stay around long enough for you to snap a picture of it. Ticks are far more of a threat to you than the bears are.
