    1st time at Allaire

Sat. Feb. 28 was my first time at Allaire let alone on a real mountain bike trail. It was awesome! Thanks to Jorba all the other volunteers that maintain the trails. There was a little of everything on the orange trail; switch backs, logs, fast, slow, jumps, woops. To regulars...how was that day compared to any other day at Allaire? compared to when it is dry in the summer? Are there any other places comparible to Allaire to ride in the area? (I hear Thompson Park in Jamesburg was decent) Lastly, how do you determine right-of -way between biker and biker? BTW - when are the group rides for '09?

From what I understand, Allaire gets very sandy in the summer. For other similar trails, you can try Hartshorne or Huber up in Middletown.

I refuse to ride Allaire because there's an albino wookie loose in the park...

He leads great group rides though... reportedly 10-12 rides per week. Just follow the wookie for a good time.

I shared a Chocolate Stout with the Wookie. It soothed him.
