    Stolen Bike!

My Santa Cruz Blur TRc was stolen last night in Boise Idaho. I am posting here in case the scumbag perps take it your way. Thanks for keeping an eye out. It has full shimano xt components and Kenda Nevagal tires now. Here is a picture.

Really hope you get it back! Where was it stolen from? Was it locked?

It's a no freaking way story. I took it to work to clean it up and do some routine maintenance. I work at the newest fire station in the city of Boise. It was in the rig room next to half-million dollar fire engines filled with stuff and they took my bike. I went to bed and got up and discovered that it was gone. Talk about nards. The police and city security are going over electronic entry logs and will be following up. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. It's a gut wrenching experience. I rode that bike a lot in the last year, almost 3000 miles, and on all those rides I only saw one other bike like it. Now I check every bike I see.

Not yet, it is a brand spanking new station with door latching problems previously noted. I have been told not to talk to the media. "Let the cops do their job". Sigh. Along with every other crime victim in Boise. The cops are overworked and undermanned. I just want my ride back. It was a great bike.

Sorry about your loss. I have been looking for a santa cruz blur or tallboy for the last few months on craigslist and ebay. Will keep eyes open for this. Hope you find it

    Me too!

Juliana, but lost in Reno. Let me know if one turns up in Idaho -- I'm guessing they aren't all that common. Mine is gold. I'll be looking at the local craigslist and will keep my eyes out for your bike while I am looking for my bikes.
