So who does the work at BBT?
So I rode BBT again today and had a mediocre ride . . . it was awesome because in just a few short rides out here, my technical skills have already improved. I actually surprised myself with what I was able to clean, which was about 90% of what was out there. I noticed there has been some work done since the last time I was there. Little rock lines here and there to mark the trail edge and probably prevent some erosion.
What sucked is that I got lost . . . I found Your Mom, made it to the service road but thats when it fell apart. I now know where the trail routes you, but it took me a long time and a lot of energy to find it. So next time won't be so bad now that I know the way.
What I noticed though is that there's singletrack that parallels the service road, but no obvious connector. It would be cool to put in some singletrack that routes you back up to the main BBT trail without having to ride that service road. Or maybe there already is and I just don't know where . . . .
Alcohol may lead nowhere, but it sure is the scenic route!

It seems like the consensus is that when you get to the service road, you turn around and take it back. If you don't want to do that, ride down the road until you see a dried up creek bed on the left. Turn into the creek and take that up until you hit trail again. To tell you the truth, I think BBT is one of the easiest trail systems to follow in Las Vegas. I learned every trail system out here solo, and I will tell you that some were VERY difficult, with some serious trial and error (Cowboy).

It seems as if the trail is built by ....

Trail Nomes, Gnomes or desert rats. Kudos the to trail workers for their efforts. Enjoyed my visit from NorCal on these trails and managed a decent morning ride even after a bout of acute alcohol poisoning the night before.

I heard that trail is part of an ancient roadway from some lost city. More seems to get "uncovered" when the wind starts to blow in the fall, winter and spring.
