    So.Nv S24hr bikepacking trip

Ever since I bought my moonlander(fatbike) I've wanted to take it out for a overnighter or two. Well this past weekend I took advantage of our calm before the wind and set out for a mini adventure right in my own backyard. It wasn't about distance, time frames, or strava kom's(lol) but more about enjoying the bike ride itself.
I started at a very early hour of 1pm( by Vegas standards anyways ) on sat. And was home by 2pm on sun.
    Here's the pics...
Packed and ready to roll out....

Top of the first climb( skyline @bbt)...

    Love me some BBT...

A pic of something fun on something new....

Took a pause at flat rocks...

Then headed south along this trail...

Halfway point, not lookin hollow yet

A couple hours later, out here

...and quite aways down this road...

    I was now feelin hollow...

As I kept rollin south I saw beautiful things around me...

Sections of my route were less traveled.....too bad because they're beautiful areas...

As dusk fell I made this pass...

I rode for a lil while into the dark and then made camp with a small....

I awoke to this view before the sun peeked over the ridge ...

    Packed up my lil site...

I then got busy riding more marvelous trails( red valley is AWESOME,right now!)the pic below is lower badger...

I'll finish when I can, gotta go register my son for fratita jr high.

Who needs suspension when you're on those monsters!

You now riding an appropriate gear range with that rig?

Nice that the frame bag from the Jamis fits that about perfectly.

Got yourself a jerry bag now too, eh. Completes the setup.

Yeah, the bivy life can be a bit easier than hanging in the lower desert elevations.

And, when you gotta quit riding with your buddy Ralph?!

Nice to see some Vegas bikepacking!! Are those trails part of the Cowboy trails? Or somewhere else, I'm not real familiar with the Vegas trail systems, but I wouldn't mind making the trek up there to check it out.

I am glad to see that at least someone is really taking advantage of this weather and who better than you B.
I am jealous might need to start buying some backpack gear.
