Sounds like Truckee is unrideable in the afternoons, wondering how things are on the other side of the hill...specifically the creek trails. Thx.

Went outside to enjoy the rain for a minute today, and then I remembered that it was full of ash. Even after the rain, everything still smelled smoky. I came up over I80 East this afternoon and the smoke was really bad from a few miles west of Truckee, all the way down to a bit east of Donner Lake. It isn't as bad as Truckee here in Reno, but still not something I'm planning on riding in anytime soon.

It's shitty -- they aren't expecting containment until the first of September, and then who knows how long it'll be after that for the air to clear up. The other fires in the general area aren't helping with air quality either. Active Fire Mapping Program
