Heading out to a Trek demo day this afternoon, and the forecast is calling for 40 degree rain/snow. Yikes! Pictures to come...

Nice ride Matt, I live in the Coventry area right off Reunion in Anthem. Have you ever ridden the back side of the mountain? Going from east anthem trails to the mission hills area in Henderson over towards JT's Bicycle on Horizon Ridge? I am curious if that route is actually trails or jeep/service roads.

I'm just above the Del Webb school, love the area! I ride the Anthem trails 3-4 times a week.

That route is doable, but junk IMO. Really rocky cresting the saddle (short hike-a-bike) and then super sandy on the Mission Hills side. You should try it one though, just to see for yourself.

We probably live in the same development..I'm in Anthem Estates the DR Horton houses. But yea having the trails right out back is what inspired me to get back into riding. Thanks for the info on that run, I might just try it out, then again.....

Yup, did some 'sploring on the Northside of 160 at the top of the pass. Nothing really worth writing home about, but it was riding and a little bit a hike-a-bike. Then hit the boy scout road for a couple of miles - where the pic is from.

A ways North... Reno Looks like it is clearing up alright, but road might be the only option. Things may be a bit soupy.

No doubt! Turned out to be not so bad, but being rushed I didn't get any photos! Unfortunately didn't have time to get out on the dirt but tried out the new domane. I was skeptical of it living up to it's hype, but bravo Trek. That is a well designed bike and one that will do very well with the average consumer as well as the endurance racer.

Tomorrow AM there is another Trek demo and I am going to try and make it out to that one and put the ol' 26'r-29'r debate a try.

Hey Matt. A little more info on the old train tunnel by the dam, por favor. My wife had some lady in my father-in-law's neighborhood suggesting this to us for a LV activity but I doubted.

K- click on the link above the tunnel picture. It's an old railroad track, converted into a walking path, that will take you all the way into the visitor center at the dam. not sure if it would count as a fun activity, but maybe
