Bootleg canyon trail access?

There was a sign put up recently stating that a gate was going up just after the parking lot, and only authorized vehicles can go through.

Does anyone know who to contact about this and is there any way to stop this?

I'm sure it's for Interbike demos on Monday and Tuesday. Temporary. Just park at bottom of POW and ride up.

I hope so, some dude on the shuttle a few months ago mentioned they were talking about closing it down so the shuttle could make more money.

You have to work in the industry to get in. It's not open to the public.

I take it you mean this sign. It looks somewhat permanent.

I am not a shuttle kind of rider, but I am sure this will cause some uproar with the downhill riders and ATV folks. If anyone is concerned they should check with Roger Hall at BC Parks and Rec as he should have the official word.

Its my understanding that the construction of the gate is a requirement in the concession agreement between the city and Greenheart, LLC, parent company of Bootleg Canyon Flightlines.

Apparently the City Council might review this...anybody have an update? Who was there first, the mountain bikers or the Flightlines?

I heard from "a guy" that the city is reconsidering this action.
It's a city park and the main user group,mtbr's' are not happy with it.

At least that's what I heard around the " water bottle " this weekend
