Props and many thanks to the folks working on these trails. Should rank under "Top 10 Urban MTB Rides"!

    Newbie

Newbie MTBer, 1st time poster and 1st time at Bears Best. Had a blast. Great trail system, props to whoever has worked on it. Im also an experienced photographer and posted a set of our ride to my Flickr. Apparently I cant post a link or photos til I have 10 posts but if you want to see the set google- flickr airkev sets. The first hit should be my sets page click on it and Bears Best is the first set. Click on it and the shots will come up. Click on a pic and click + sign and then you can scroll thru the high res set. I think I got the names of all the sections correct from the map provided earlier in this thread. LMK if any are wrong.

    Happy trails!.

Had a great time out their today. I tried many different loops and got in 15 miles. I rode down the riverbed new section to a dirt road and saw and heard some guys shooting, I just turned around and rode back the way I came from and still had a great time. thanks builders

I was all happy riding my hard tail on my lunch break, but I noticed that the 'little drops' in the "BONER" section, have been smooth down, to almost nothing, why? were this too gnarly? or hard to climb? I think whoever did this screw this awesome section of the trail...

mr Fred, I need to do some miles, but I'm not feelin the road; that double track at the end of latest creation, with all the shattered plastic, bottles, and copper/lead fragments, heading south west towards British plaster board, will hook up with, or lead to, 159/160?

I would imagine that it is part of the plan to have ST out there ...when(?) IDK
But that dirt road(gas pipe line) does lead to 160 and is not bad to ride overall...basically dumps you out at the Exxon gas station on 160. So it's very easy to do BBT> Cottonwood >BBT rides that can be monsters with very lil pavement involved.

There for all of you who want more miles at the Bear's, and there are so many more trails out there to explore and ride just get out there and pedal.

dont have any maps to post, ill ask the guy i went with. the gas line road eventually leads to a three way split; we took the middle one. kept climbing, lead to the processing plant. we crossed 159 and a little HAB and ended up in cottowood, eventually got on 159 and on the road, to the RR campground, over a few gates and back to BB/retention basin. 30mi
