    Ash Canyon Completely open!

So finally got some time and got off my lazy, couch riding, ass and went out on Sunday, then Monday, and then Yesterday! All trails in Ash Canyon (aside from the new connector to Kings Canyon) are completely open with GREAT DIRT!! Did most of the upper stuff yesterday and on Sunday and then did Creek Trail on Monday, there were a few tacky spots from the last bit of snow/ice melt-off but other than that the trails are completely packed down and great for riding.

Cool! Now go clear off the Gold Lake Highay for me

You still bike commuting, Greg? I haven`t seen you hanging out on that subforum lately.

Is Ash Canyon still bueno? I was thinking of heading down there tomorrow morning, but don't want to tear it up if it's muddy.

    Thanks!

I'm thinking about riding Kings Canyon tomorrow from Spooner to Carson:

Anybody know how snowy/icy it is now?

Ash Canyon is pretty much hero dirt right now. With the recent weather the trails are keeping pretty tacky and seems like everyone and their mother wants a piece!!

RODAR - yeah I am still bike commuting, just spend more time on other forums. I purchased a 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 as my bike hauler last october so I am doing lots of research on fixing different little things as they come up. The position I have right now has me off-site for Health Care Reform meetings on pretty much a weekly basis so I am only biking a couple days a week (but miss it full time). If you are on Strava you can find me on there as I usually track most days that I ride, including commutes.

That was from last year and it was pretty warm and dry by this time so there wasnt much snow. Last I heard from Flume Trail Bike Shop the snow was melting in sections that had exposure but the higher trails were still pretty covered. Check out their site as they usually have someone that attempts it once a week or so.
