    Anyone Riding In This

Heat? I just moved down from Reno this week and was looking forward to some riding but have been to chicken to brave the high temps? Are the Cottonwood trails busy after dark? Im looking into some lights to extend evening rides

I'm suprised at how few riders I see after dark. You might see a couple out there, a few more at Bears Best. Everyplace is open at night. The only place that even mentions it are Cowboy Trails. 1 sign says no parking after dark. Get lights and you can ride year round.
I host a weekly nite ride. You can find info on LV MTN BIKE Meet Up

I've been riding from around 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Still hot, but cooler and no lights needed.

Anyone riding in all this smoke? I was wondering how hazy it is out at Cottonwood.

We rode out at Cottonwood tonight and it was fine. Once you get up there you will see that you are actually behind the smoke line for the most part. Im sure the air quality could be better but no burning smell or stinging eyes, sore throat, nothing of that sort.

We are riding Bootleg tonight from the circle lot @ 7pm. I don't think the smoke will be an issue out there.

    Re: Anyone Riding In This

I rode Cowboy today! I started about 11:45am got done about 4:30.
I did have to stop at Tony's cave to cool off and rub out a couple cramps though.

Then he wanted to go for a ride, but No Helmet, No Ride! SAFETY FIRST!!!

So we chilled for a minute and I made my way down to the truck.
    Great day!
