    RIP Rob Sears

Some of you may have heard the sad news of the passing of Rob Sears, it happened a few weeks ago, but I held off posting on here as those close to him would find out via his network of friends. It didn't seem right to blog about someone I never met personally, but who I know and respect as a inspiration and legend in Mountain Cycle history.

He sure knew how to make a San An rip the downhills didn't he.

Something about the article, hit close to home, since I grew up in the East Bay Area and rode some of the trails he did.

I didn't know him personally, but I did the Mountain States Cup for the first time this year, a series here in CO he'd been doing the past few years...shame to hear we lost a great rider.

I didn't know him, but it's always sad to hear about the passing of a fellow cyclist.

    RIP Rob
