What seatpost is that, and what size rear tire are you running?
It looks pretty large. I'd love to run a larger tire in the rear, but I've had clearance issues with the tire/front derailleur in the past.

The seatpost is a Crankbrothers Joplin 3, and the tires are Continental Rubber Queens 2.2.

These tires are pretty large, but I've had no problems mounting the front derailleur. There isn't much room to spare though, bigger tires will rub against the front derailleur!

If you run a double and bash and use an SLX front mech http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=27692 (the double specific one) you can run a much wider tyre with NO clearance problems

Thanks.. Those tires do look large for a 2.2!!!
I thought they were at least 2.4 LOL
    I'm running a 2.3 WTB Weirwolf without a problem but it's a small 2.3...

@ Stu have you personally tried the SLX FD? I've been eyeing that for a while but haven't heard from anyone running one on the Fury yet.
If it works I'll get one

Yes I have the SLX on my Fury, cage is shorter than the triple version and gives lots more clearance. Will take a pic when I have chance

Qprs, I love what you did with the "88 Ball" graphics on the shock and drop-outs.

is that Coil Shock 7.5 x 2.0 or is a bit longer?? Cuz Mountain Cycle Specs the Fury for a 7.5 x 2.0. I didn't think you could find coil shocks that small.

The shock is a 190 x 50mm so, ebay came up trumps.

    It's a vanR from 2009.

How does the DHX coil feel over the Air shock that came on the Fury???

    It's not a dhx, it's a van r.

The van r is a very basic shock with a fixed pro pedal and rebound adjust.
It's very straight forward. The pro-pedal is very light, so, it's not really felt so much.
Best way to describe it is plush. Personally i never got on with the Roco. Air just seemed to finicky for me.

As for any criticism of a coil on the Fury, that puzzles me somewhat. MC shipped coils on quite a few of it's bikes once over.

Love all the M/C's on here.
Herr’s Junior my 98 ish San Andreas half way though a diet but getting there, black and polished with a hint of lightness and modern. His older brother is next for a rebuild, get his picture up when I start him but hers junior.

    New photos, decals now on.
