    NEW Mountain Cycle Facebook Group

Mountain Cycle have pulled their page from Facebook.
I can't start a new page using those words BUT I have started a new group.
Try to use it to help other users, post your rides, ask questions etc.
We all love our rides and can help each other.

    PEACE OUT!!!

You can't blame Alan. The death of MC came before that. All Alan did was supply the hammer to nail the coffin shut.

Just because you buy a company, that doesn't mean you have to salvage it. That was the job of the last team, and they failed. My guess is, that he bought MC for the intellectual and physical property. And probably bought it for pennies on the dollar. If he did buy MC to salvage it, that is going to take a lot of time. And at this point, no one who salvages a company like this is going to be able to take care of previous buyers of MC products. If he does salvage MC, he needs to look forward and not backwards. It would be in essence a new company with an old name. About the only thing he could do to handle past warranty claims is to offer new frames at a discounted price. I don't think there will be any salvaging of MC. I think the story of MC has seen its last chapter. But, someone may buy the name, in name only, and start fresh. It's a double edged sword. It's a great name, but it no longer has a great reputation.

And tied to http://www.facebook.com/groups/296660760405714/#, we have what could be the only dedicated MC rider's gallery: Gallery MC - Mountain Cycle Rider's Gallery, with some interesting and very useful information to come for current owners too.

Between the two, some really great stuff being shared

You should put it in the classifieds here. I don't want my group taking revenue away from MTBR.
