    Battery, n misc XTR parts, help

    Guys,

    Stats n Riding Style:
    I am 5'8", 190lbs (was a gym rat:=), 32" Inseam, 34" Reach. I was looking for something that would be compact with solid construction, that I can ride mostly on weekends around N GA/NC/TN areas, mostly as a XC with some DH capability, will be rarely ridden on the street.

    PARTS AT HAND:
    2x9 XTR M952 175mm CrankSet with 44t-30t rings, xtr 9spd rd-m952 long cage, xtr m952 3x9 sifters, deore lx BL-M601 brake levers (work with mechanical disc brakes), any possibility of using all or some with my frame, so I can put the money towards other items?

    STILL CONFUSED ABOUT:
    1) Frame: What is the difference between orange n black, except a higher MSRP, is it the the rear shock only?

    2) Fork 140mm, or longer always better?.............budget preferably around $250

    3) Bottom Bracket, something like XTR FC-M960 BB 68/73 mm , what does the numbers 112.5 or 116.5 represent, the end to end length?, meaning it determines the distance between the cranks, which will work with battery?

    4) I need a 31.8 mm Front derailleur, should I get a dual pull, what swing, a little confused about this too?

    ================================================== ==========
    Other Items needed, research continues, recommendations welcome?:

    Headset...1.5"to1-1/8"
    Disc wheel set, n mechanical disc brakes, I am also keeping an eye on Atlanta's CL as it is quiet large and I see disc takeoffs all the time, so I take it that 135mm with 12mm through hole setup would work in the back and front is ofcourse determined by the fork?
