    Battery frame

Hi I'm looking for some info on this frme from anyone riding one.

At the minute I ride an upgraded 08 Norco Atomik DH bike and a hard hitting 5' hardtail.
I'm thinking of going the one bike route, I suppose aggressive all mountain, and some shuttle runs. Will this frame suit this style of riding.

I would like to run 2 ring up front (24/36) and climb to the top slowly and hammer the downs.
What forks are guys running, 36's/ lyrik's?
Also looked at the fury, but how much abuse would it hold up to?

    Thanks

    Hi Folks,

Yes CRC is indeed selling them as a one off. A little hint though, wait until week's end and you'll see something at mountaincycle.com that you'll find interesting.

As far as how much abuse the Battery can take, it's built like a tank.

Here's a link with some info.
Kiltedskier converted a Battery to take a front mech and two rings.
You can email or private message him when you get there.
Plus that thread has info on how he did it.

    Battery!

Plus, you should go to MC and ask there. Our forum activity is mostly there now.

    drjekyll,

Form the MC site, where the info has been along with the new site (also mentioned here):

    "Unauthorized Mountain Cycle online dealers:

Mountain Cycle will not cover by warranty any Mountain Cycle product, sold online or otherwise, that was not purchased through an official Mountain Cycle approved distributor.

Currently in the EU we have NO authorized online distributors.

In the US, Adrenalin is the ONLY online retailer currently authorized to sell online.

If you have doubt as to the status of the place of purchase, or think you may have purchased through an unauthorized reseller, please contact us immediately."

I thought so, European law states that a 2 year warranty has to be given, no exceptions.

Here is a 4 month review:

    Hey John,

It's now more than 4 months I'm riding the battery and I have to say this
is the best bike I ever rode!
The set up you've advised is just perfect, very strong but still quite
light. Love the wheels! This bike is actually doing a very good job in
freeride, usually those short bikes are not that good at speed. Obviously a
great bike for jumps and other tricks but that was a given.
The only downside would be about the tyres, average grip and too light for
hard use (Kenda - Tomac edition, I think). I changed them for Tioga factory
dh, much better on both dry and wet conditions.
