So any plans for a fatbike from Bikesdirect???

Seems like they now have just about every other base covered. Wonder if they are going to get into the fatbike market too.

They don't have every base covered my friend. Though they may have made a DS 29er, I think we need to see an "all mountain" 29er.....HT or FS would be great! Mike is pretty receptive to suggestions by mtbr members, so if you can find him on here somewheres, then it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Wow. You called it. They seem a lot nicer than the WalMart Mongoose Beast FatBike.

    Moto / bikes direct fatbikes!

They are nearly equal to the competition at half the price. A friend and fellow mtn bike club member got in on their first batch of pre orders and I got to ride it. The only difference I could tell in the ride between it and every other fatbike I've ridden was the extra rotating weight from the lower quality tires and tubes. I have plans to get one before next winter.

    The Boris is tempting.

Where can I get information on wheel and tire weight for the Boris? Goggle didn't turn up anything on the rims, and looks (from one poor quality picture) like they may not be drilled like those on the fantom, makes me worry about rotational weight.
