I change the RD because I went from trigger shifters to the dual brake/gear shifters.
The RD does not need to be change if you keep shifters

Im noticing that there is a spacer on top of the stem, and the more i look at these pictures I realize that some people (those who changed stems) don't all have the spacer above the stem. Could I put that spacer under the stem thus raising the stem a bit? I wonder why it comes like this, am I missing something?

The spacer can go below or above, depending on your desired stem height.

    Fantom 29 Pro

    My Fantom 29 Pro:

I bought the frame from Bike Island. Wheels, fork & brakes from ebay. The rest of the parts are an assortment of LBS and parts off of my 20 year old Nishiki Colorado. I've got about 140 miles on it so far and it is tons of fun.

I'll be putting some pictures of my Fantom Comp HT with new Tora SL fork. After a month and a half of not having a fork due to a problem with Bikes Direct/UPS that was not cool. I had my Tora 302 replaced with a SL coil and a new headset. It's at the LBS being installed as we speak and I'll be be taking pictures/ riding for the first time in almost two months tomorrow evening.

Santorin, dude that silver is right on man. I wish I had kept one of my old GT Zaskar LE ball burnished frames from years ago but that 700HT is sweet!
