Motobecane Fantom Team Full Suspension Sizing Help

    Hello,

I'm highly considering a 26er full suspension bike and I'm looking at:

Shimano XTR DynaSys, Mountain Bikes - MTB - Motobecane Fantom Team 2011

    I'm 5' 7" without shoes and I have a standover of 30-31". I like the ETT of my Gravity Point 4 29er at 57.0cm.

Can any owners chime in on whether I should get small or medium for the Fantom Team FS?

    Fantom Team Geo chart:

    Motobecane USA

    Thanks.

I don't know about the 26" model. I have a 29" full suspension. I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam. I purchased the small frame and it fits very well. I don't think the Medium frame would be as comfortable for me. I know it is hard to decide, but I bought a bike that was too big and it was not enjoyable to ride.

I agree. It's better to buy a bike that is too small than too big.

When I compare the geo, the small Fantom 29er FS is closer to a medium Fantom Team FS (with respect to ETT and SO). I'll just wait for the medium whenever BD restocks it.

I was considering the Fantom 29er FS, but I feel like I have more control on the 26er. A 29er feels a little too squirelly for me.
