    Fantom Ti 29 Size question

I am 5" 9.5". The best I can figure is I would need a 17.5 (45 cm) frame. Does this sound right to you?

How tall are you and what size are you riding?

I am the same height with a 30 inch inseam, I tried a 17.5 29er in the shop and found that the top tube was going to be a problem if I came off on the trail. I'm leaning towards a 15.5 and getting a longer seat post.

Same height, and I got the 17.5.
Feels good when riding; the standover is a little higher than I wanted, but not too bad. I figured that even if I had more clearance on the top tube (like the 15") I still stood a chance of hitting the tube if crashing,so I went with the one that fit best when riding.
I was trying to find a bike to replicate the geometry of another bike I had ridden, and this was the closest.
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.
