Hi all, just bought a 700ds for an electric bike conversion project. Not planning to do any hard core trails or anything, just wanted a decent full suspension bike for the project. Just wondering if anyone knows how strong the stock skye seatpost is? I did have to cut 1/2 inch off the seatpost and it seemed to saw pretty easy so was wondering about strength. I plan to put a delta post haste rack on the seatpost to carry ~16 lbs of batteries. The rack is rated up to 25 pounds and is made out of steel so I'm more worried about the seatpost breaking than the rack itself. Has anyone broken or bent their stock seatpost yet?
