    who all makes titanium stems?

I'm looking to replace my current stem on my X-YBB with a ti stem...trying to see all the ones out there and what the opinions are:

    J&L (ebay dealer, ~$130)
    JW Racing (ebay dealer, $170)
    Van Nicholas (~$275)
    TiCycles (~$350)
    Moots (of course, ~$360)
    Seven (~$490)

Dean and Litespeed no longer make them as far as I know. I want the new design (removable 4-bolt face plate). What else is out there?

I have a mint cond., 4 month old Bontrager XXX race lite carbon stem if anyone is interested. Also have a mint cond. Truvativ world cup noir carbon flat bar, both need to sell to fund the new stem purchase.

I have a set of their bars (flat ti bar) and seatpost and have used them for over 2 years now with no issues. I have no experience with their stems though.

Match the frame and get the Moots. Open face four bolt. Perfect.

I know I know, just hard to drop 4 bills on a stem. As I type that I of course realize how stupid that sounds considering what I've spent on both of my current bikes...but still, that's a chunk a change for a stem.

I swapped out my Hope stem from my Nuke Proof and running it on the Moots now, and put my old Caramba stem back onto the Nuke. So if I can sell the Bontrager XXX and Noir World Cup bars, I'm half way to a Moots stem.

Black Sheep makes a Ti stem as well. For the money, Moots as them all beat. FWIW, I have heard but cannot confirm that much, if not all the eBay Ti is Chinese if that makes a difference to you. Rob one extra bank this week and get the Moots.

I remember once upon a time AEBike used to heavily discount Moots stuff. I scored my Moots Open Trail stem from them for $275 (ouch) a few years ago.

dosen't the riser bar negate the negative rise stem?

why not a 90 degree stem and a flat bar?

I'm sure there are many combos that you could create to get your hands in the same place (stack height, stem rise, bar rise), but 2 reasons I went the route I did...don't like the look of the +6 or 0 rise and already have a riser so didnt want to drop yet another $150 on a new one.

but yes, you are correct and I thought much about that
