    Moots YBB Fork Questions

I have a YBB that was manufactured in spring 2000. It currently has a 80 mm fork and I was wondering if anyone had tried a 100 mm fork on this age of YBB (I think the new ones are designed for 100 mm forks but the older ones were for 80 mm)?

I had a 100 on mine for a while. I felt like it handled fine but it is a lot quicker with the 80.

    80-100mm?

I used to have a Manitou Black that was 80 or 100mm. I almost never ran it at 80mm. When I bought a new fork, I just got a Reba Race 100mm. It feels great. Even at 100mm, it is quicker handling than all of my other bikes, which are FR and DH oriented.

My YBB was made in 1996....

Hi. Thanks for the advice. I have now taken the plunge and got a 100 mm fork on my YBB and it seems great to me. Indeed for my sort of riding, i would say it is a definite improvement.
