    Straight Six

Can anyone tell me the correct bottom bracket dimensions for a 2001 Straight Six?
Can't seem to find any info anywhere.
    Cheers

    Thanks bad mechanic.
Unfortunately some dickless ******* stole my bike a few weeks ago so it's a moot point now.
    Thanks anyway.
    Cheers

I have an 18" 2001 Straight 6 for sale in good shape, and just sent you a PM regarding it. It simply doesn't fit me well so I'm getting rid of it. Let me know if you're interested.

I just bought a 2010 Felt Virtue 2 off eBay to replace it but I am interested BadMechanic.
    I absolutely loved that Scwhinn.
    Mine was a 2001 18" also.
    Built up from frame.
    How much are you asking?
    Can you ship to Australia?
    Cheers

    I'm thinking $350 USD.

I can ship to Australia, provided you pay shipping.

Thanks very much for all your offers guys, amazingly, the police found my Schwinn at a pawn shop.
I had taken a large number of photo's of it just prior to it being stolen and, in Perth, Western Australia, it is an extremely rare brand.
Emailed the police my photo's, they positively identified the bike, seized it and I should be able to pick it up in a week (they need it for forensic purposes).
    Fantastic news.

    Oh man!...

I just picked up my Straight Six from the Police station today.
Took it for a quick ride to make sure all was ok and oh man!

    Damn I missed this bike.

Don't get me wrong, the Felt Virtue 2 I bought to replace it is a beautiful bike, I just forgot how much fun the Straight Six was.
It's so responsive - great rear suspension (once it's dialled in for your weight) and it eats just about anything in its path.

i bought Mavic Crossrides for it a few weeks before it was stolen and they're just great (the budget didn't allow for Crossmax's but the CR's are nice anyway).

It has a new drive train - new RaceFace chainrings (I run 2x9), rear mech, cassette, chain, pedals and Elixir 5's (now if I can just stop the dreaded turkey warbling because I sprung for the pretty HSX two piece rotors).

Scouring eBay for better forks (I killed the Manitou Splice's it had so I'm borrowing a mates Manitou Blacks - sorry but I really don't like Manitou forks - they just feel cheap and clunky), seat and a better seatpost.

Anyone used to have a S6 and haven't ridden one for awhile - do yourself a favour, find one and get on it!

    Ok - enough evangelising.

The best part is, you came out of this with two bikes instead of just one.

By the way, I'm still selling an 18" yellow Straight 6 is anyone is interested...
