I replaced the cheapo tires and tubes which came on the bike and may have been the worst weak point on it. It has done pretty well on the rides I have done, but one of the stock tires ended up really flat! New tires, fairly heavy duty Innovas, and heavy puncture proof slime tubes, seem pretty good, I did have trouble installing, of course.

I have been looking at low end spring coil forks to replace the stock one, which I am sure is about as bottom of the barrel as a person could find. I believe better ones can be had for fairly low prices. Are there any opinions about this? Thanks!

It's a fun bike to ride, and I say this, having a entry level Trek too.
