SetteMorph, More pics to come shortly. Currently the forks are having the tst cartridge upgraded under warranty, they should be back late this week early next week. While they are being upgraded I am also replacing all the pivot bearings as some have begun to seize, all will be replaced with enduromax bearings.

Coming back from the trail I ride on the pavement, so I locked it for better pedaling. Offroad I set it to full suspension.

Ok, well I work at walmart as an assembler, and unlike some others I DO pay attention to details. I deal with their bikes all day every day. I have to say the Impasse 29er is one of our best best bikes. Just don't go for one of our FS. They aren't near good enough for trails. The impasse (for walmart) comes with some pretty good components. Repace the twists and the rear der and maybe the fork (if you don't like rigid) and your good to go with a nicer beginner bike. 41# is the shipping weight, and the packing materials weigh right at 7-10# (depending on how it's packed). It's really not heavy at all for a walgoose. We've got one coming soon that's the same frame and components (maybe ez-fire... not sure) with a suntour xct suspension. But I say go for the impasse. It's a good starter, especially if your looking to save some money. Plus if your son is 13, shouldn't he work his way up to a thousand dollar bike, lol.

    My Mongoose Canaan Elite 2010

This bike is unbelieable! ive tried other more expensive bikes, but so far this is far better suited for long rides and 24hour races than those longger travel bikes. its top tube is roomy enough and head angle is relaxed enough for a long day on the saddle. Very cheap too for its outstanding and well thought out parts. this bike can be used as a 24hr race weapon without upgrading except for the slippery tires. not the plushest shocks but you dont need to touch the platform switch already, while climbing no hint of energy sapping bob.

    My new 2009 Teocoli Super

All stock except for the Azonic platform pedals. Have not had a chance to ride it on the trails yet, I am still recovering from a broken wrist. But the ride on the streets is so much better than my old dept store Schwinn.

Made some changes to the bike

Still dialing it in, but it rides pretty smooth. Enjoy!

    Thanks guys.

On my inaccurate scale, it weighs pretty much the same as before I made the slight changes. When I completed the build it was 31 lbs. 7 oz. After the swap out of the handlebars, X9 to X0, bottom bracket, bash, Juicy7 to Elixir CR, it is 31lbs 7 oz. I figure the wider handlebar and the addition of an Aceco chain guard erased any weight savings.

    2009 Meteore

    My 2009 Meteore Comp.

I just got this a couple weeks ago. Its a 2009 that I think was just left over, looked to have never been ridden. Swapped the saddle for a speed v that I love, Specialized Enduro (Sun SOS 32) wheels in for the Mavic XM117's and Panaracer XC rear tire. Came without pedals so some bright wellgo platforms went on.
