Hey everyone....I'm a bit new to MTB. I did some BMX racing when I was young and getting light was what everyone tried to do. Yes. I'm a "Weight Weeny", but I'm a Weight Weeny that doesn't want to sacrifice durability. My question is this: I'm a light rider...160-165lbs. I love the 6ft drops, hitting the narliest part of the trail, and I like jumping, but I'm the type of rider that wants to go as fast as possible off the drops, through the narly, over jumps, and then burn on through to the next. Because I'm lighter rider would it be safe to get some XC wheelsets and do AM and FR, or should I stick with the heavier AM/FR wheelsets?
