I'll bite: Responsible riders know not to ride the trails when they're muddy.

It wasn't cold enough. I wait for it to get colder so the mud is frozen.

Dude, you just opened yourself up to a virtual mtbr smackdown.
The same folks who weren't at the trails this week will be there next spring fixing your ruts.

But if I was not advocating for them with the local officials and holding their hand to make them do things better there would be two less races in the local area
They can't come into a park and destroy it and just leave. The rest of the park users will not put up with it. And unfortunately they give the real mountain bikers, the ones who actually care for the resource, a bad name. To non-bikers anyone riding a bike off-road is a mountain biker. They do not differentiate between us and the cross bikers.

conditions at Kettle?
I have not been on the Kettle bike trails in a while. I stopped riding there because they were deterioting from errosion and people riding them in conditions they should not. There were lots of sandpits and rocks to dodge. I was just wondering how the trails are now on a good day when they are good to ride. I'm more of a summer rider and even though I love mud riding i'm one of those riders who would rather skip a ride in order to save the trails.
