Idea! Trails at Appleton WI and north?

On Friday June 20th, we’ll be in Appleton WI for a doctor’s appointment. While there we’d like to stop someplace for a ride and we’ll be traveling down and up highway 41-141 from Houghton MI. If anyone has trail suggestions that are marked well enough for out-of town folks to negotiate please let us know. We'd prefer IMBA single track.

    Thanks!

Calumet County Park is the closest to Appleton. Green Bay Reforestation Camp and Bairds Creek are just up the freeway by Green Bay.

In looking through all your suggestions via trail reviews, looks like Green Bay Reforestation Camp is the one we’ll try. THANKS for the help!

The Reforestation Camp is a blast. Its a pretty fast trail, not too technical but there are a few spots where it gets hairy.

We'll let you know how the ride goes. And when will we see you up here and riding with us?? Gee we're not that far from Appleton. Below are photos of some trails in our area including MI Tech, Swedetown, Churning Rapids and Copper Harbor. Again THANKS for the help!

If you are in need of anything, be sure and check out Recyclist in Kaukauna (college avenue / CE takes you right there). Best, friendliest shop around.

Grew up in Appleton, but not a lot of trails offical trails that I remember too well.

We mostly rode on trails we found around the river and the trail below College Avenue and the paper mill, we used to be able to ride out at Plamann Park and a few other parks I remember. Have fun, it's a great town, stop at the Wooden Nickel or the eternal Christmas bar (can't remember the name) for a beer or three...

We stopped and rode the Brown County reforestation camp trails on Friday and found then quite nice. Not technical or lengthy but a nice break from driving just the same. THANKS for the suggestion to do these.

are you sure you rode all the singletrack? that alone is almost an 8 mile loop.

I think we did had 10 miles on our computer, but we had to double back a bit. Are they working to eliminate the double track?
