    Muir Quotes of the Day

Rode Muir today. In addition to impressing the heck out of me with his progress of skill on the trails, my 13 yo Kiddo was killing me with his comments.

    It started with:

"Hurry up and get my bike off the rack, I need to go show up some old dudes in the skills park."

( there were three guys in the lot across from us talking about trying out the skills park. And, yes, He did.)

But best of all, we were stopped at one point, and out of the blue in all seriousness he says, "Mom, if the zombie apocalypse comes, we need to get our bikes and head to Sandy Bottoms. There will be water and well be far enough from the city to be safe. But we probably should bring Quinn, he's a boy scout."

So when the Zombie apocalypse comes, we have a plan.

There was one more good one. Said to me but about two guys we saw leaving out on the trails. Perfectly placed dramatic sigh and head shake:

"Seriously dudes, skinny jeans and no helmet?!? Hipster #fail"

Back down there today. No good zingers but he was tearing up the skills area.

This is the opposite of good stuff. Try teaching your son kindness or respect for others. Common courtesy is obviously a lost commodity.

Here's your son's philosophy turned against you.......Parent so enamored with her son's sarcastic insults that she forgets common courtesy.....epic parenting failure!

Oh c'mon Gomez, chill. Bit of an over-reaction there

The fail part was entirely around the lack of helmet. I would hardly consider the fact that my child cannot fathom getting on his bike, skateboard, scooter or snowboard without a helmet a parental #fail. As a 13 year old, he wants nothing more than to be a hipster, but with a helmet.

Look like they added some new features to the skills Park?! Last time I was at Kettle, I was to worn out to go play in the skills area, that darn blue trail is alot longer than the signs Says!
