Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride
-
Yes. It usually ends up being windy, rainy, snowing, or cold--usually a combination of all of them. Been around a long time. My dad used to ride it in the early 70's. This year they are moving from Lakeville to Stillwater for the start so what the course will be like is anyone's guess.

Yeah, it's fun, but a new route this year, so who knows what this Spring will bring?

I signed up last week. I figured the weather would be windy, cold, potentially miserable, but hey, it's MN spring

Re: Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride
I did all three loops on my Long Haul Trucker. The Afton loop hurta little with the hills.
Almost 108 miles wasn't a joke considering the snow we had up until last week.....
-
108 today is a solid performance
I did the Scandia loop and the Afton cutoff loop, ~70 miles. I was essentially alone on the way to Afton and the wind was starting to get to be a bit much, so I gladly took the cutoff. All in all, a good day.

Re: Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride
Miles 82-91 down stagecoach trail on the afton loop sucked. The wind was 25mph.
