I usually camp right at the trailhead, but understand it's not a "normal" campground. More like a parking lot with places to put tents/small trailers. There is water and bathroom, but no showers.

There's also this place (looks nice, but never stayed there personally)--a couple miles from the trailhead:

    whatever...

Yeah both places that steadite mentioned would be handy to the trails. Any of the camping on Lake arbutas is nice, another option that would be a little longer drive but on a really beautiful lake is at Lake Wazee just outside of Black river falls. The water temp is going to be pretty cool yet, but you won't find a clearer lake around.

I have camped at Russell a few times. Expect a lot of traffic, few tent sites, quarter-hungry showers, and glampers with their lights on and radio blaring at all hours of the night. I wouldn't expect to wake up feeling fresh and ready to ride an all-day epic that's for sure. It's certainly not ideal but you're just a few minutes from the Levis trail head.

There is also this small campground north of Levis: Norm & Ann's Campground - Outdoor Adventures, LLC - Rates for Ann and Norm's Campgrounds in Clark County, Neillsville, Wisconsin

Thank you for all the help. We are going to tent at the trailhead and go shower at the Russel campground when needed!
